Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree            - Day 14

 

This Christmas classic, sung by Brenda Lee, became a hit in 1960. She recorded it in the summer of 1958 with the air conditioning on and a Christmas tree in the studio!

It’s full of good cheer, describing a Christmas party (hop):
 

‘You will get a sentimental feeling when you hear Voices singing,

let's be jolly Deck the halls with boughs of holly

Rockin' around the Christmas tree

Have a happy holiday

Everyone dancin' merrily

In the new old-fashioned way’

 

It’s great fun to unwind and celebrate the festivities with friends and families. We can also hold on to the promise that Jesus will return, this time as a King, and then we will be celebrating forever with Him!
