Reaching Up -

At Weldon Parish Church and Priors Hall Community Church we want to be a group of believers who are deeply dependent on God. We want to be a people living joyfully in response to all that God the Father has done for us through Jesus’ life, death, resurrection, and ascension. We want to be a people living godly and distinct lives as the Holy Spirit changes us to be more like Jesus.

We are therefore devoted to:

- Hearing what God is saying through His word and seeking to obey it, and

- Enjoying the privilege of prayer, both individually and as a family, seeking his will, and looking for where he is moving.

We believe that the Bible, although written a long time ago and into a very different context, is still useful for us today. So the reading and preaching of God’s word is central to our Sunday and midweek Home Group gatherings, including our Youth Group and Sunday School.

We want to encourage believers to take an interest in their own spiritual growth through personal bible reading and by providing a bookstall stocked with helpful and relevant books.

We believe that, because of what Jesus has done for us, we can speak to God as our Father. So we come together in prayer on our weekly (Tuesday) prayer meetings, in our Home Groups, and in the monthly prayer breakfasts. We want to be prayerful, not just for our local area, but also for our national and local leaders and for our various mission partners around the world.

Our vision is for a church family that is increasingly hungry to hear God speak, and humble to submit our lives to His will.
